Youth Sports

Auburn CCYO Basketball
The team sport league is open to all children from 2nd grade through 8th grade from Auburn and the surrounding communities. Cayuga County Youth Organization of Auburn focuses on providing a fun, recreational athletic program for children.

Auburn Ice Hawks
Organized hockey league for youth ages 6 through teens. The Auburn Hockey Club is dedicated to promoting good sportsmanship, respect, discipline, self-esteem and fun while all enhancing player’s skills.

Auburn Indians
A Pop Warner football and cheerleading league for children ages 5 to 14. Yearly registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Auburn Little League Baseball
Under the direction of the YMCA, Little league Baseball is open to youth from ages 5-12 years old. Teams are organized by age groups, 5-8; 8-10; 10-12 years old. Registration opens about mid-January and closes around the end of March. Teams are selected in April, and games are played in late spring and summer. Forms and information can be obtained here.

Auburn Xtreme Softball
This is a competitive, year round program, which accepts players from Auburn and the surrounding communities.

Auburn YMCA
The YMCA  provides a facility and programs promoting youth fitness and training. The facility includes two swimming pools, gymnasium, racquetball courts, indoor track, and more. Programs include organized seasonal sports youth leagues.

Fingerlakes Minor Soccer League
Fingerlakes Minor Soccer League is a recreational summer soccer league for
area children and teens ages 5 through 17.

Champions for Life
Offering a wide range of youth programs including: Gymnastics, Tennis, Soccer, Wrestling, Karate, Cheer, Girls Lacrosse, Group Exercise, Recreational Camp, Sports camps and Clinics, Open Gym, Home School and DDSO. Facilities are also available to rent for group events.

KID STAR SPORTS ACADEMY
For children ages 3-9 years old.
Your child will be taught skills in various sports, as well as participate in other
recreational and fitness activities. The program is designed to create all-around
athletes prepared for greater achievements in sports, as well as all that they pursue in life. The primary activity, gymnastics, develops flexibility, balance, strength and agility that are perfect stepping stones for other sports. Depending on the age of your child, they will also learn skills in soccer, tennis, dance, basketball, baseball, volleyball, lacrosse and other fun and recreational activities. Located in the Finger Lakes Mall.

Youth Organizations

Boy Scouts of America
Scouting provides youth with an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical standards. Scouting programs for boys include: Cub Scouts for ages 7-10, and Boy Scouts for ages 11-17.

Girl Scouts
Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Offering scouting programs for girls ages 5-17.

Booker T. Washington Community Center
The center provides a broad range of programs for the community. Many of the programs focus on youth, including before and after school programs for youth in grades K-12, a drop in center for teens, and a free college prep program.
